Sr20vet vvl head shimming

I'm in the process of re-shimming my head before i start her up!!

I took down all the measurements with a feeler gauge on both the smaller lobes on the cams and this is what i came up with.

NOTHING could fit in between the cam lob on intake side rocker #4.

so now, i measure each shim, and order accordingly right?

Where do i order shims from?

Also what are the correct specs / measurements ?? i have Crower dual springs, with n1 cams.

I directed him to Nick at 5523 motorsports. Mazworx would probably have a good idea of the shin height too.

Nick at 5523 was EXTREMELY helpful. I HIGHLY recommend him, he actually took the time to thoroughly explain the process and specs.

From memory when we did mine it was about 10-14 thou on the intake and 11-15thou on the exhaust with a rocker ratio of 1.6

I ordered harley davison shims as they were way cheaper, came in 0.05mm increments.

I assume your measurements were taken with your existing shims?

Fuck I have done this a few times. It sucks when you had head work done, when I shimmed mine they were all over the place. I went to the Harley Davidson dealer and used the V-rod shims. You can also look buy a the hotcam shims to use.
