0 compression in cylinder 4

Completely new to the whole Ka24de scene. I have 0 compression in cylinder 4, having a hard time removing the exhaust manifold and intake manifold. Wondering if there was some trick i am missing. Cant reach two inside bolts on the intake manifold. Is there a special tool? Engine is still in vehicle i do not have a engine hoist. Any help greatly appreciated. thanks

It's called a swivel extension.

thanks i got one of those, but still cant seem to reach them. i can't remove the EGR valve does anyone know the size of the bolt?

also does anyone know basic symptoms for a reading of 0 compression in cylinder 4 but good compression in the other 3, so far i have heard bent valve, warped head, cracked head/block, blown head gasket(but no smoke from engine or exhaust),

wow. by reading your post you don't seem to be very experienced with automobiles.
you may want to seek help from a knowledgeable professional in your area.
0 compression is often a completely burnt valve seat, or a broken/bent valve. a blown head gasket will usually still have compression (even though it will be low)

I have a little experience working on cars. Im trying to get the head off so i can see what im working with, replacing valves and springs i can do, im just having a hard time removing the manifolds right now.

0 compression sounds like a broken ringland or a melted piston. Cylinder 2 of my sr20 read zero and this is what I pulled out of it.

14mm regular socket, 14mm deep socket, swivel extension, and 14mm wrench are all you need for the exhaust manifold.

The intake manifold is exactly the same with the exception of using 12mm sockets and wrenches. That's all you need. A magnetic pick up wand is useful too when you drop bolts.

thanks, i hope to have it apart tomorrow and see whats going on with the internals, ill take pics and show the damage, thanks for the help
