s14 What a mess!!!!!

I need a little help here. I have this 95 240sx with wires every where. Who ever had this car before I got it really F'd everything up trying to add things that didn't need to be. I bought the car a few weeks ago, started it drove it home, noticed that it was sluggish and non of the lights were working, they even had a damn toggle switch to turn on the gauge lights, now I am trying to undo everything that they have done. In the images that I have posted I numbered the positive lines that are coming from the battery. I need help figuring out what needs to stay and what needs to go. I also plan on buying new positive battery cable to help clean all this crap up.

This image has all of the wires in question. I have number them so you can see where they end up in the other pics. Wire labeled 1 is for the crazy dash lights they had installed. Wire 2 goes out the bottom(as seen in image 2). Wire 3 and 4 im not all that sure about.

And this little guy, is it even used?

Any help that you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that manual, I picked up one of those Chilton manuals and this one is by far more detailed.

Well now I have headlights. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box on the driver side for all the interior crap and I have good fuses and the power seems to stop there. Any ideas on where I should look next. Here is a list of the things that I know for sure are not working at this point. I will up date as I move along.

No Dash Lights
No Gauges or lights
No dome light
No Break lights
No turn signals
No door buzzer
No Power Windows

Thanks
D

The people that had this poor car before me, murdered it.
