A Boost problem,PLEASE HELP

When I am driving,in 3rd or 4th gear when the rpm's hit 5, i take my foot off the gas and there is a noise as the car slows. It's hard to tell what kind off noise it is,if its air or ticking. The noise sounds like it is coming from the driver's side but its hard to tell. The car seems to run fine. I had my plugs out last night,if one came lose, what kind of noise would that make? Is it normal to hear ticking in the head? Could this be my turbo

I was wrong, the boost is down. It will not boost past 3psi. Must be a boost leak?

It will not boost past 0psi, what should the normal vacuum reading be on the boost gauge? What is the easiest way to check for a boost leak?

I fixed the boost problem, but I still have the noise. It's a spitting and sputtering noise coming from the engine bay only at high rpm's in 3rd and 4th gear.
