I don't think the iPhone 5 works with Alpine CDE-121. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong lol. Will try again later

The iPhone 5 will not work with any radio at all through the USB cable because the iPhone 5 does have iPod control output. The only way it will work at the moment is through Blue Tooth or 1/8" jack.

Well yeah it will obviously work through the 1/8" jack, but that's just audio. We were talking about iPod control through the USB.... or at least I thought that's what we were talking about. I edited my post to make it clear that it will work with BT or the 1/8" jack... but audio only.

Hey Broadfield what other Double Din head units would you recommend that has Xirius Radio because my antenna is deleted. 500-600 and below range please.

I would highly recommend the Alpine IVE-W535HD... which I added it and a couple other Alpine models that are shipping now to my original post. JVC has some cheaper options, but they are now discontinued and no longer available from JVC. The new JVC models will be releasing in the next couple months.

They do not through an app. However, if you are using an iPhone, you can plug the phone into the audio/video input on the Alpine or JVC. Note: iPhone5 will not work.

No, the 121 is not BT capable.... you would simply buy the CDE-133BT.

Do you have any experience with the JVC KW-AV61? I don't really need it to do anything fancy, I am more just looking for a decent lower priced option that is double din to fill the space. Also do you stock it, and if so price shipped to 17055. Thanks

Sorry for the late reply... Zilvia had my vendor account on lock down which prevented me from posting in my for sale threads etc.

The AV61 is brand new and is just now shipping, so I don't have them in stock yet. It will basically be the same as the AV60 though. The JVC units are a great option when you want something that is a reputable brand, but not going to break the bank.

It will run $289 shipped.
