how does the lock to lock decrease when lengthening the steering rack? i think you have a typo there..

but this is pretty cool, do you have to remove the bump stops on the control arms?

It decreases lock to lock because you basically hit the bump stops faster when you increase the steering angle this way.

If you remove the bump stops i'm sure you would just get that much more steering angle.

.. really now...

the gear ratio never changes in the steering rack, so if the lock to lock is defined ONLY by the bump stops on the control arms, then it wouldn't matter if you put a 15" spacer on the rack, the rack cant push beyond the bump stops.

my main question was do the bumpstops have to be removed, and i think the answer is yes.

No, the steering stops do not HAVE to be removed. Its not necessary, you can grind down them down to get even more of an angle.

But these adapters can be installed without having to grind down the steering stops.

Well if you lengthen the rack, putting the ends further out, thus less distance they have to travel before hitting the bumpstops, less "turns to lock"?

im curious. if you bought one for each side would it make both wheels have 52 degrees of steering angle? why do you only get one? and wouldnt only having one mess up your tire wear when turning?

no, you would actually have more than 52 degrees of angle (66 to be exact). but you would overcenter, or hit something before you could use all the angle it would give you. Would also need inner and outer rod/ rod ends.
You only get 1 because you Re-Center the rack after you install it, and you have to get you Toe angle re-aligned.

well i have tien inner and outer rods and stock lca. so if i got 2 of these wouldnt it hit the bump stops but give me max angle for both wheels? i just dont really understand how it can be god to have more angle on your leading tire than your trailing tire. seems to me that it would cause alot of wear on the trailing tire as well as mess with your drifting fluidity. so if i got adapters for both sides would it allow me more angle for both sides keeping them the same?

You will get the same steering angle from both sides with 1 if you re-center you rack properly. if you install 2, you get 28 degree of steering angle capability, and wont have to re-center your rack, but you will be over centering the wheels without other mods.

Do some research in the roll center thread. A-lot of your questions will be answered there.

Haha, well you might want to start small, and work your way up
Just order 1 adaptor, recenter your rack, and enjoy the extra angle. If you need more, you will have to get some Steering Knuckles, and notch or buy some new FLCA (front Lower Control Arms) so your tie rod ends dont hit.
I think God Speed has everything you need for suspension.

haha.. ok thanks... do you think you could simplify the roll center stuff? i think i understand the concept behind it. its a ratio based between your center of gravity and where you knuckles are? and having your roll center at the same level or a bit higher you get less body roll and more steering angle? am i right about this?
