Hello,　

Thank you for participating in May 3rd Dai's Driving Academy. We were happy to hear positive comments from many participants. And now, we would like to make this event happen more often, hopefully on monthly basis at the same location, El Toro. Though City of Irvine is quite risk conscious, El Toro has a big advantage of its space, as long as we can use same area as in the past event.

Next one we arranged is June 20(SAT), and we are going to add intermediate courses for both drift and grip, shorter and easier than advanced ones, particularly with many turns for grip.

Also we are working to improve several points; food service, tire service, and also planning to invite more JDM gear vendors. Keep you updated when our conclusion comes up on these issues.

Lastly, we would like to ask $80 for entry fee for either drift or grip driving, but we'll include limited version of JDM OPTION T-shirt, which we parepare exclusively for this event, only for early registration by end May.

Please take a look of attached files, and send us back your registration form by e-mail or by fax by end of May.

Collaboration: Shogun Style Performance (Matt Monaco, Course Management), Garage Boso (Ross Petty, Instructor), SR Motor Cars(Steve Rogers, Car Inspection), H&D Racing(Hiroki Miyaji, Translator)

Courses: Beginner Courses (Skid Pad, Figure 8, Enter & Brake)
Drift Courses (Intermediate, Advanced)
Grip Driving Courses (Intermediate, Advanced)

Note: *All drivers and passengers need helmets. Driving suits/gloves are not needed.
*Registration and Safety Inspection starts at 8:00AM.
*No Gas Service. All vehicles have to fill gas outside of El Toro Field.
*Food Services and Tire Services are TBD.

Entry Fee: $80 per driver for drift or grip (Receives Free T-shirt* when paid by May 31)
$100 for both drift and grip (Receives Free T-shirt* when paid by May 31)
$40 for 2nd driver for any of above (T-shirt* not included)
*T-shirt: Limited Version of JDM OPTION T-Shirt for this event
Max. 4 persons including driver(s) per one registered vehicle have
access to the event location by signing insurance waiver form.

Course is pretty rough on tires. I'd bring an extra set just in case.

NEED MORE GRIP DRIVERS! Barely any were out there. I got so many runs my oil started overheating! Also instruction is provided which will help tremendously, whatever you skill level is!

yea.. el toro is pretty tough on tires...

i went through a brand new set pretty quick...

but Dai's academy is a cool event... you get to meet jdm peoples and u get a free jdm option t-shirt with early entry!

I run my KA there and about 2 to 3 pairs of tires should be enough.

If they have the big course and you have power I got 3-4 runs out of my tires on there. 3rd gear manji and upshift to 4th gear or 4th gear initiation and maybe down to 3rd for the manji..
Its a fun place..
