egr ??'s

My qustion is, for those who have and FSM. If I'm looking at the exhaust system right, the egr starts w/ the tube that comes off the back of the exhaust manifold, and if you follow the tube behind the engine, the temp sensor for the egr would be on the back of the intake plenum w/ a purple clip for the wires. Am I right or am I looking at the wrong one. Thanks for any help, I need to know because I'm going to be soldering in a resistor on the temp sensor because my egr tube isn't connected to my headers. Thanks again.
