Does anyone have a good picture or diagram of the vacuum lines behind the head and intake of the KADE? I'm having a hell of a time getting that bowl of spaghetti right.

Question :

What kind of spool up time would I be looking at on an RB20, With a T3 turbo Twin scroll-divided housing 1.00 AR Hotside and 78mm Turbine.

Anything Think I could be fully spooled ( about 22psi ) by 5k RPM?

I do think it would be close, if not 5500 rpm to run it that hard. It's still a two liter at the end of the day.

for z32 ebrakes, the anchor nut. mine has a nub on it, like on the side that goes into the rotor. now, does the nub face the front of the car or the back?

hard to explain, but the picture should help

the one i have is the one on the left. that nub! does it matter if its closer to the back of the car or to the front?

my anchor bolt has r & l written on them but its confusing the fuck out of me

I am looking for nuts for some project kics spacers. Where can I find them? regular lug nuts don't allow enough space to fit a socket on it.

Any suggestions? This has been bugging me for days.

As long as you do the following, you will be fine:

Align bore/hone both the cam journals and crank journal, installing NEW bearings with plenty of assembly lube

Overbore the cylinders at least .030 over(this insures exact alignment of all four cylinders).
Me, I go as big as I can because cubic displacement still rules, and I love hand grenade engines with big compression and fat lumpy cams

If you plan on half assing it, then ignore everything I say from here

New pistons, rings, and rods will need to be balanced and blueprinted. This is cheap insurance for reliability and power

Head will need new valves, springs, and rockers, all stuff that will lend itself to reliability for added boost

GASKETS. Use good gaskets, no bullshit. Cometic has great stuff, and it's not super 'in vogue' expensive like say Apexi

Make sure everything is torqued to spec and set to spec so you KNOW it is ready for initial turnover

I am probabaly wasting words beacuse you know all this, but I cannot stress the importance of building an engine RIGHT. Doing it right makes for a reliable, powerful engine that will last. Big cams, and huge compression grenades are fun, but for DD, well tune it down about 1/4 or so, but still, 284 - 306 cams DO sound really good(yes, these are freakin HUGE cams with gigantic lobes and freakin sick separation and lift, so racy, but sound sooooo suh WEET!)

No, the carrier bearing is on the front half of the driveshaft in an s13, and on the back half with an s14.

hmm Well 22psi is a large leap.

I'd think 14psi should be attainable before 5500? Guess I'll just install the turbo this weekend, fab up the down pipe and see..

I'm shooting for about 400whp. ( I live 6500FT above sea level, so it takes more work to get there )

It's got a 58mm Billet Compressor.

I've read that Billet wheels help for better airflow/ slightly quicker spool.. any truth in that?

The SR I bought has 264 cams in it and the owner wanted to trade me for stock ones but has never contacted me since. What do I need to run in conjunction with these cams to ensure nothing will shell out.

So the guy wants his 264's back anf you get OEM, or he gives up the 264's and you give him OEM?

Either way, you are running what from all intensive purposes(by the photos on your build site) a nicely rebuilt bottom end. You should run some 270's or 280's with 91 octane at a total compression of 11:1 with a good tune. You'll need to rebuild the head with better springs and valves(Supertech is good stuff), and smooth out the combustion chambers, and run either quad platinum plugs or at least index your plugs so the electrode is open to the center of the combustion chamber

I have a Z32 rear Brake installment question as well.. I know you won’t need an adapter if you use R33 E-brake cables for the other guy that is asking about the adapter…. Will I need the z32 brake Drums in order for the E-brake to work?

Can't find exactly what I'm looking for on here, Google, or KA-T.org...

Has anyone ever done a KA24E-T with bottom mount turbo, stock/factory SR20 IC piping, airbox, and SMIC or turn flow type (retaining SMIC piping of course)? I can't find pics or video.

Has this been done or am I about to make my car a unicorn?

Yes it's been done, but there are no t2 manifolds really available for a sohc, and not ones that put the turbo in stock SR location.

People that have done it have made their own.

And just because it's unique (unicorn) doesn't make it good.... take it from someone who has been down the sohc-t path.

There is only one t2 manifold I've seen, and that was a gladman manifold. This was eyars ago, and I recall it was a side mount.

EDIT:http://gladfab.myshopify.com/product...turbo-manifold

Dunno if he's still around.

Any advice or recommendations about sohc-t?
I'm honestly just planning on a mild build, nothing crazy.

Hey guys,

Need help with Brake line running across the firewall. I got s14 Non abs and bought brake line relocation kit. The relocation kits replaces 2lines that run on the firewall. Does anyone know what the third line is? Cars in storage so i cant take a look at the moment.

IS it for the Canister/evap setup?
