speaking of "bags and wheels is a build" people, this dude was driving back from a car show in Minneapolis on the interstate, breaks a tie rod, hits a innocent bystanders truck causing it to roll 6 times. somehow didnt die or kill the bystander in the truck. he has since sold the car and curbed the wheels on his new m3. still think stance is safe??? |

I would imagine it made a truck roll in the same way that a 120 lb martial artist can throw a 300 lb lineman on his ass with the right leverage. It isn't likely but it can happen. Lose control, slide into the truck's wheel, destroy the suspension and introduce some yaw. Then the truck can't cope and it rolls, especially if the driver tries to correct, and it swings back to the side that was hit. During all of this commotion, maybe you slide to the birm and if it wasn't going to roll before, you go off the pavement and its game over. Called soil tripped rollover. In rare instances, you could probably cause a truck to roll with a freakin Miata if you hit it right, especially a lifted truck.

I'm assuming by "bystander" you mean fellow traveler on the highway.

Wait...Is the wing up side down and if so, wouldn't that raise the back of the car?
I'm not saying that's the only thing wrong with the car, I'm just sayin'.....

It's mounted right side up, the brace just mounts to the top of the wing. What I want to know is just how effective is said wing when it's 6 feet away from the car?

I can't really tell but his insta pics make it look like the airfoil is in the correct orientation although it kind of looks like homemade setup (the wing itself, obviously the posts are). But I'm pretty sure actual wings that have a top mount are supposed to have the posts come from the back anyway so you put less disruptive airflow going to the wing surface. This setup just says fuck it, lets put drag wherever.
I wonder how long he's had it because I would think that it would just destroy his trunk long term with the leverage it creates. I've seen BCL wings ruin hatches, never mind something that big.
