So lets re-cap... S13 swap needs- 1 91+ Z32 TT Auto trans, (93+ is suppose to be heavier duty) with converter (very important, Z32 TT converter cores hard to get). My source- CNS motors on E-bay (JDM import) $350-$400 shipped 1 KA24 auto trans bell housing, flexplate wiring harness, and Trans computer (if your car was an auto, you might still have this). Easy if you have an auto car to start with. FREE if you have an auto car or a buddy doing a manual swap. 1 Auto TT to N/A rear end in 2+2 lenght drive shaft (note- not for VLSD diff housing. Custom DS, open diff housing, or 1/2" foward off set MMs needed) My Source- nyxmotorsports.com $220 1 Z32 TT to S13 transmount kit My source- Jgsturbo.com (comming soon) ~$75 1 custom hybrid 240SX/Z32TT converter Source- Ptcrace.com (note requires sending both S13 and Z32TT converter) $175-$400 (est.). OR clearanced KA bell housing (die grinded) and flex plate drilled for 9.75" pattern will allow use of Z32 TT converter. FREE (just labor) 1 speedo solution options- 1) Taller rear tires, like 255 50 16s, etc. (26" diameter)... Effects- added traction (if your swaping this transmission, this is something on your list of wants). Better 1/4 mile gearing for turbo cars, will enable high trap speeds without using OD Ratio drop, 4.032 to est. 3.7 ish Better cuising mileage 2)Speedo converter Effect - speedo that reads right source- dakota digital All I could think of for now. |
