Did you receive your MAP sensor with your swap or did you have to buy one. I got all the way threw my harness to find out I didnt have a MAP sensor.

I was lucky enough to get it with my 1J...

They go for $50-$100 just look around

why do you need a low temp thermostat? Is this going to be a race car? If you are going to daily it, the low temp thermostat will do more harm that good.

CHRISTMAS EVE UPDATE!

Nothing to major on this update just some small stuff...

When I bought my 1J it had a broken PCV valve, so I picked up a Metal 2JZ PCV Valve & Grommet from Driftmotion. An since its a Metal 2JZ PCV its a 1000x better then the cheap Plastic 1J one & also my 1JZ is a Second Generation so it doesnt have the PCV problem that the First Generation 1J's have but definitely recommend this on any First or Second Gen 1J's to get rid of the Crappy Plastic ones...

Also decided to ditch my original Z32 2+0 E-Brake Cables & go with the more commonly used Z32 2+2 Cables that I picked up from my buddy Roger & Eric (Driven08) along with his Custom Z32 to S13 E-Brake Brackets there TOP FLIGHT quality & would recommend them to anyone! Thanks again Roger & Eric!

Forgot to mention I sold my old DD S13 Hatch about a month ago & Picked up a 89 X8 Cressida Ive wanted a Cressida/4 Door for a few years just wasnt ready for one but since then I've learned a bit about X-Chassis & have owned like 3 S13's I felt it was time....It's pretty cool car besides the monsterous stock ride height, Blown Struts, Blown Steering Rack, Ugly Blue Interior & the passenger side that was side swipped by the previous owner

But besides that that Its runs well It has a rebuilt 7M (Fixed HG), AC & Heater...so thats good for me for now

Im hopping it doesnt turn into a money pit but some money will eventually get put into it I cant help myself...

Only things Ive done is....
-Lowered it on Stock S14 Springs
-Swap out the Banged up Passenger Doors for Undented ones
-Took off Monster Truck Mudflaps
-Removed Lower molding under Doors

Planning on....
-Getting New Struts
-Rebuild Steering Rack
-Tint
-Slowly Convert the Interior to GRAY!
-NEW RADIO! I dont own any Tapes!

Then it will be a legit Daily in my Eyes...

Height Comparision next to my Buddy Evan's X7

On Stock S14 Springs & Removed Mudflaps & Lower Molding

FLANTING THE COLORS... #CLUBAUDACIOUS

UpDaTe.........!!!!

Well about time for a DAMN UPDATE! since I cut my Water neck I needed a RB/KA style Radiator so I picked up a USED Mishimoto Aluminum KA Radiator in good shape for a Superb Deal!

I bent some fins back & Polished it up a bit to make look a bit better, but overall I feel it should keep the 1J cool til I get the Radiator I really want....

Oh & BTW I finally Dropped the beast into its home It was actually a pretty smooth drop with the TECH2 CROSSMEMBER/BRACKETS, IT WAS DEAD ON! Along with the XCESSIVE URETHANE MOUNTS everything was SLIDING IN LIKE BUTTER how it should be! I had to loosen the SWAY BAR because the oil pan was hitting it but i'm going to eventually order a SIKKY Sway Bar anyways... & SORRY FOR THE SHITTY PICS

The shifter was close to NOT fitting , but it just made it! Would recommend a 3IN Extension mine is about 2 1/4......I threw it into gear a few times & its not hitting anything so im Happy.

& THATS ALL FOR NOW FOLKS STAY TUNED FOR MORE!

So my List of things left to get it running is...

-Xcessive Trans Mount
-Chase Bays Clutch Line
-Fans/Shroud
-PBM Intercooler
-Fuel Pump
-Downpipe/Cat-Back
-XRP Lines for my PBM Oil Filter Relocation Kit
-Sikky Sway Bar
-Finish Wiring

Sucks to hear about the family issues but stay up man.

Even though you say that it can be better, you're actually still going through with it and not giving up on the whole build and that's what matters even if it's taken you 2 years to build, it will eventually be finish and it will be all worth it when you start eating V8s lol.

Don't give up! Be patient and finish this thing!

Thanks a lot guys for your hard work and in depth build post. It's answered a lot of Q's I've had. Hince the one or two post haha. I'm down in Murrieta and may have some questions man if you don't mind... build is coming out classy! Lol

good progress man, just get an isis conversion clutch line, it works perfect and its inexpensive.

also i dont know how true this is but i have 2 of my friends that run 1jz swaps and said that those DM crank pulleys are not good for the engine. If anyone can comment on this that wold be great.

Is the ISIS for JZ/S13? & I did some research & talked to Driftmotion about it, it's more likely that the stock Crank Pulley will break before the DM one & theres a few people that have been running them for like 3+ years with no issues. But I guess Ill see for myself?

Thanks, I try to go into as much depth as possible...alot of people are doing JZ swaps now/before with little info....basically "HERES MY JZ, NOW ITS IN MY CAR, NOW IT RUNS & DONE!" I like to show the ENDS & OUTS OF THE SWAP, but hopefully MAYBE if it come out right ill show the Wiring...but i'm not to far from Murrieta let me know if you have any questions...

Yeah bro im doing my best, Ive thought about stopping/parting it out but i've sacrificed alot by putting this work into this car to stop, but I know once its running & all I'll feel different, but thanks for all the motivating words!

Ill second the aluminum crank pulleys, i dont believe its that they fail, its that they dont do what the stock dampener does, dampen things haha. Im hoping mine holds out untill i can get an ati or fluid damper

Im not worrying about to much, if it was a part alot of people were complaining about I wouldnt of bought it, but eventually the plan is to go with a Titan, ATI or Ross Dampened Crank Pulley
