s14 s14 fuel tank

ok so i pulled, sanded and patched the infamous passenger side strap patch and tryin to put the tank back in but the straps show a 1/2" gap to where the pin is. question is, is there a lip or something that i am not hitting or has anyone else run into this problem cuz i have searched here and google and i must not be typing in the right thing help please.

Did you pull the cover in the interior? Try wiggling it around.

I hope you replaced all the hoses on top while you had it out.

Had that issue. Check that all the lines are in it's holder. Also, when that happened to me, I just wiggled it back and forth and it "slid" in. IDK, towards the top are dents that have to line up with the rear seat back sheetmetal.

Ok thanks bud ya all the lines are in the right places. And yes I work at Oriellys and replaced all the fuel lines. Also yes I did remove the cover.
