s14 Ca18det Overheating ....blown headgasket? LMK your opinon!

alright so i have a ca18det that has recetly started to overheat .

The car will idle and then about 5 minutes the temp gauge jump from halfway and creep up past the overheating line . it busted a radiator hose so i changed the hose the car overheated 5 mins again.

the thermostat was removed before i owned the engine and kept it that way.

i have a gt28 turbo , stock injectors , godspeed raidiator ,

i had to drive the car home as the temp gauge pinged.

do you think its possibly blown headgasket.

i am going to be doing a compression test and then a leakdown test .

Anyones input will be great.

thanks

The car has been running for about 4 monthes with that motor , the only known problem i had was a odd noise from the timing case i figured the tensioners.

Seems like maybe your water pump isn't circulating the fluid so it just sits and runs hot. Check the oil is it milky check the coolant does it have oil. Does it start?

Also maybe some thing to think about my friends civic started to over heat and couldn't find out why. Final result was her intercooler was blocking most of the air flow to the radiator so I couldn't breath
