s14 Walboro intank fitment question ?

Just got back from the mechanics he said the pump wouldn't go into the intank bracket I am guessing I got given the wrong install kit.

Does the walboro 255 normally come with a pad to hold the pump into the bracket on a sr20det S14 the filter was pointing in the completely wrong direction {only way you could mount it) and I didn't receive the plug that you run the negative and positive wires to the existing wires.. Should it be a direct fit with the correct kit?

even without the correct kit its not that hard to makeshift stuff that'll work, although you don't want to do that if you can avoid it. but the rubber stopper that goes at the bottom should put it in the right spot. the filter sticks on and it goes in.

They sent out install kit 400-846 I am told the proper kit is 400-766, the other kit is not even close to fitting right. Can someone confirm the install kits part number? Appreciate the help.

make sure you get the 255lph pump. For s14, the pump mounts on it with a zip tie. but you have to clock it correctly so the strainer is sitting horzonal in the tank. The stock walbro strainer is too small. On my pump, I reused my stock strainer.
Wiring is all the same through walbro pump. Just cut and solder/buttclamp it to your exsiting wiring. Make sure the wires are correct.

Look at my small writeup:

My pump is #342. I had to twist the metal pipe in the bracket to make it fit to the pump. I hope it still works fine.
