Sr20det piston rings on ca18det

I was wondering if sr piston rings would work on a ca. I just need one set of rings and I don't find it necessary to buy a whole set of rings if i can just use some old ones i have laying around. Sorry if this is a stupid question but i just need to know. Thank you

The bore doesn't seem too far off tho. If I filed the rings to make the end gaps correct, it doesn't seem like it would be too hard

if you force a 87mm bore piston ring into an 83mm bore it will have massive excess ring pressure on the bore,
it will get super hot from the pressure/drag/friction
from being over stressed into a smaller bore it will soon crack/break the ring
likely break piston ring lands and ruin the bore
just get a set of piston rings for a CA18,at $50/60? and chance it will last a lot longer

http://www.perfectengine.com/Hasting...has-2c4221.htm
I was $9 short,Hastings are made in US so probs get them direct for less?
I got a set for a toyota 4 banger delivered in UK for £55
japan made NPR rings are cheaper slightly, but hastings has a better oil control ring design
