s13 tranny went out.

Okay so my tranny went out and I am unsure what to do. I would like to know how much the parts would cost about, the difference between engines and if I can do it my self if not how much should the labor cost. I was learning how to fix my car but my boyfriend got two jobs and does not have time to teach me. Then my job started picking up too. So I went to a shop and they ripped me off. So if you guys can help me out would be awesome thanks guys. I have a automatic single cam hatch 89

STEP 1: place WTB Auto ka24e (tranny) Thread on Zilvia

STEP 2:low ball and pick it up for cheap

STEP 3: Pay one of these zilvia guys wth a 6 pack of coronas to install it

STEP 4: Dump your bf

I would say to sell the car with bad tranny to a local kid with delusions of grandure... Take the cash and buy a nice Civic, Sentra, Versa, Corolla or Camry :-)

I am pretty sure you can get auto tranny for cheap or free. Most people swap auto to manual.

Topic reminds me of an inside joke when my friend sold his engine.

"The tranny needed an engine." hahaha

Don't go to a junkyard.

If those are private ads, reply that you've got $100 cash (what it's worth, and they know it) and can pick it up immediately (use your boyfriends back seat for this).

If I could afford sr swap I would do it in a heart beat. Im getting the auto tranny bc it is a faster fix. My s13 is my daily driver. I would do all these mods to my s13 if I had the money but I cant right now. Thanks for the advice hun

Did a garage tell you that you needed those things?

You might have actually needed the tie rod. The rest are a nice idea, but totally un-needed, unless they showed some type of problem. Unless you just wanted to do it all, or whatever.
