I think I replied to you, but just in case here it goes...
Yes, the GSX comes with a turbo, and although you will loose a little bit more power through the drivetrain, you will more than make up for it in traction. If you plan on modifying it at all, the FWD (gst) turbo versions spin tires all day long. Stock I think the car comes with 210hp and 215 torque, but I could be wrong about the torque. (My car wasnt stock for too long, so I never even really looked at the numbers)

My old 91 240SX kept up with his GSX even when he had a few minor mods. But once his turbo went on along with some other stuff, it was by by 240. Still damb good for a NA vs. Turbo

Do you mean that your old 91 240 SX (with a few mods and NA) kept up with his GSX with his STOCK turbo and a few mods?

yea all gsx's come with turbos the horespower for shure is 210 but torque im not shure. one problem with second generation eclipse's is that after midrange the power starts to go down because the turbo is made to spin at low rpms. also its pretty hard to extract horsepower with a stock turbo. thats what ive heard my friend has a gst.

With a few "tweakings," my bf had his 92 GSX pushing almost 300hp to the wheels. I can't remember everything that he did, but it really didn't cost him more than maybe $500 in mods.

I loved the whistle of that turbo. He still misses being thrown into his seat when the turbos kicked in, and he drives a WS6 Trans Am now! He ran in the high 12's in the 1/4 in the Eclipse.

That is why a 91 with a few mods v. a GSX with a few mods should get his ass handed to him in a silver platter.

Gotta love those gsx's. We has a street race about a week ago and there were 4 gst's out talkin bout top end (as they do handle top end a bit better than the gsx's) and we took it to them. My hatch, My friends n20 powered 240, My friends turbo 97 ex civic, a 96 cobra. Those things move hard all the way through the powerban...til high rpm. Bout 120 me and one of the guys gst's with the 16g, and the 240 started to leave everyone and at 130 i pulled on him and the 240 as i was shifting into 5th gear. More rpm and that wouldve been byebye to me!
