The S15 SR will work in a 93, but I've heard the wiring is TOTALLY different, causing a major PITA to connect.

Also, welcome to zilvia.net!  Everyone here is totally cool.

hey thanx for the welcome im just wondering because i know the power a sr20 can put out is limited to the 450-500 hp range whereas ive seen sr22's putting out 650+. how about a skyline swap? possible?

p.s. this is off the topic of this forum but does anyone know if you can put a RB26DETT in a 93 300zx? i am looking to buy one and i know theyre engines are strong but have trouble in higher hp ranges- people have been telling me the intake manifold is on the wrong side though thanx everyone

I really hope this is a new post. . . Boards seem a bit screwy. . .

Anyhow, there have been skyline engine transplants into the 240sx, they've done it at unstable hybrids. Dunno much about the 300zx though

You can try. Remember that you also have to do the tranny work too, and it doesn't come out cheap all the time. If you wanna get the proper tranny for the RB26DETT, you'll have to get the skyline tranny, and skylines are AWD, aren't they? So... good luck!

There's a RWD Skyline also.  I assume that tranny would be used on the RB26DETT.  Or maybe the trannies might all be the same the AWD version just has a transfer case and different drive shafts.  I dunno...it would be a very interesting swap to say the least.
