Is this kind of rust repairable
I was wondering if this is repairable or not, there is a rust hole right behind the rear of the rocker it hasn't spread anywhere else from investigation, and it is exactly the same way on the passenger side as well. Floor pan is fine, when you put a scope into the hole and investigate the inside of the rocker, it's free of rust, it's just that hole from the looks of it.
This is a 97 Kouki, I really do not want to get rid of it because it's an original one, and I would like to try and fix it if it's actually possible, any suggestions? |

Any rust is fixable, it's just a matter of how patient and ready to be burned while welding on your back that you are.

I was gonna say the same thing. Any rust is fixable. Just takes time and patience and skill.

I'll probably have to ask around then, a few friends may know some people who would be willing to fix it. I rather not practice welding on this car, even though I do plan to keep it as of this day forward. Rather get it done right, than half ass it myself.

Also if you want to see plenty of rust repairs head to driftworks's build section. Every build thread is a DIY on rust repair and proper sealing.

Appreciate that, i'll give it a look. I have seen much worse rust on a few s14s and even s13s. I cannot find it in me to just throw away a perfectly good kouki because of this.
