fine lets go with this idea. you propose that if I want to sell JDM cars I have to be an advertiser. according to timandytimandy personal cars should be allowed to stay. so what stops a dealer or importer from saying the cars are personal cars?

That was the worst time as private sellers didn't know the rules and lost their paperwork most of time. There is less responsibility on the seller and more difficulty for the buyer to get restitution if things go south.

That's great that they guarantee their cars. Either delete all JDM cars not posted by them or delete none. Choice is yours. Keep some fairness to the forum

I bought a JDM car from an approved vendor and no car ever showed up. He also stole from 3 other members for more than $80k...but we all know that thread was deleted and the motherfucker still sells in the vendor classifieds under a different name...so what are you guaranteeing? Can I quote that next time I talk to my lawyer as I'm still fighting this 3 years later to collect the rest of my money?

.........The OP has a very valid point IMHO and people who break the rules and complain when they get caught shouldn't have broken the rules to begin with (in regards to this site). A lack of moderation does not make it "OK"........

It's analogous to getting caught street drifting and one guy gets caught. Both parties are still in the wrong, it's just someone got caught and spill the beans on the rest of the bunch lol. It doesn't make it more right........

Hosmer, I read your thread and this brings up a valid point. It's very clear paying for forum advertisement rights does not automatically equate to being a proper seller. There should be no gray (excuse the pun) area when selling grey market cars according to the rules.......

I am not guaranteeing anything. The vendors are required to have their paperwork in order to sell here. The only recourse we have is to permanently ban the vendor and any future accounts. All sales are Cavet Emptor and have been.
