Im thinking about picking up a purple Bride Brix 1, but there are some tears and fading in the fabric. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to restore the seat?

Trying to replace my worn out stock outer tie rods, can I get some recommendations for a daily?

I live in Chicago and will go through salt and rain.

^oem, autozone ,oreillys. for a daily.

for kade,s13 car not starting, should there be battery voltage at fuel injector pigtails
with ignition on?
i am using multimeter and there is no voltage when probing pigtails.
if i probe 1 socket and negative on battery i get voltage.

http://www.geeksoncars.com/how_81912...ire-240sx.html
is this right?

http://www.courtesyparts.com/

Is there a way to get back to the old Courtesy Parts website? The new one isn't as comprehensive in the way you can search for parts.

No, the new website sucks. I've been searching on other sites and just using the part numbers

That's unfortunate. Loved the ease of use of the old site.

Just get the Tien tie rod set, though you have to get the inners and outers as they are S14 style and mixing and matching does not work. If you want to pick something up at local auto parts store look into getting S14 inners and outers though I am not sure the price will be much less.

Moog, which ends up being the recommendation for most parts like that if you are staying stock.

I've been trying to find a ball park ride height for my 1992 240sx that I plan on tracking (lapping at 1st). I'd like to keep good suspension geometry. What I found is that the stock right height from top of the wheel arch to the ground is this:

S13 (assumed 195/60-15 OEM size tire)

Front = 694mm
Rear = 670mm

I then subtracted the OEM tire radius to make it size generic and got this measurement (from center of the wheel to the bottom of the arch):

Front = 386.5mm
Rear = 362.5mm

I was planning on dropping it somewhere around 1-1.5 inch from stock so let's say 30mm drop which would give me measurements of:

Front = 356.5mm
Rear = 332.5mm

Does this sound reasonable?

Ok i am a little confused about the 4 to 5 lug swap I read somewhere that for an s13 to 5 lug requires uca lca and knuckle, or is it as cut and dry as swapping the hubs and rotors?
I already have 4/5 lug drilled rotors for the 300zx brake up grade (front) so all i would need is s14 rear rotors right? I don't know if my rear brakes are the 300zx how can i find that out?//// Upon fuurther investigation they are not 300zx rears just stock s13 rear breaks.

what are my options?

i want this swap just to get 5 lug cause the wide array of wheels available.

thanks,

Rear S14 5-lugs bolt right up to S13's. ZERO modifications needed.
Up front there's a couple options. The one I recommend is just buying the Ichiba conversion hubs and buy a set of brand new oem bearings.
Press out the Ichiba bearings because it seems a good number of people have been having longevity issues..

OR instead of wasting time with that, just buy a set of five lug hubs direct from Nissan, or one of the parts houses who sells Nissan stuff(S14, pre July 1996 and you will be fine) OR you could buy the kit from the guys in Vegas

http://240sxconversions.com/

BUT, seeing as how NISSAN hubs run 100+000 miles without issue, why not just spend your Christmas and tax return money and get good no bullshit Nissan parts that will last and have no issues

The link you sent Hubs are like $200 cheaper then ichiba, might take that route but I don't want to cheap out on anything.

It's all meh.

Buy the cheap ones and just put in OEM or Timken bearings when they fail within a year or two.

For the rear I prefer to run used OEM just because that bearing isn't really serviceable easily and I trust 20 year old OEM vs new chinese whatever.

THANK YOU! You show the failure of the Chinese part, and used part failure theory so well.

Why do double or triple the work, and screw with your car by taking the brakes and wheels off within a year or so when buying teh good reliable Nissan New hubs will allow you to work on other more important parts and buy more important parts elsewhere for teh car

Turbo replacement for stock s13 sr20:

I'm in a dilemma between a s15 turbo, Tomei ARMS 7960, or Twisted Motions GT2871R (I kinda don't want to run this but if it'll get me by for a few months, then I wouldn't mind. Just need opinions on owners)

I'm new to the turbo game and just confused about a few things but to keep it short, I plan to go HMIC, S15 550C injectors, and a tune from JWT. Out of the main 2, TM just for kicks, which turbo would be ideal for my use? Powerwise, I want to make at least 300-350whp without upgrading internals.

My engine is stock with 155PSI in all cylinders. I don't plan on buying the turbo soon since I am gathering parts and will purchase it once I have the money for a tune and turbo. Let me know what's the best route!

Clutch in, Key all the way to the start position..... car does nothing but a few seconds later the starter finally kicks in and the car starts. Just started doing it.

prior to this I used to have to push the clutch all the way to the floor as hard as I could before it would start.

Ignition switch? Clutch starter safety switch? Starter?

I was at first like "why you pushing in the clutch to start..."

You've been her since 2005 and have disabled the clutch switch yet?!!

Do that first and continue on if the problem persists. Stupidest shit ever.
