No, you will be just fine without a capacitor. Typically we don't do caps until we get to the 1000+ watt RMS mono block amplifiers. Even then, if it's a quality amplifier it will have a fair amount of capacitance built-in. Your average car audio consumer won't even notice the difference with a cap anyway.
