Talking Keeping 240sx pop-up headlights with the Part Shop Max Intercooler Kit

This was done by cutting the factory pop up headlight arm in half and fitting a length of steel tube over the top.

Next we put two 90 degree bends in the tube and made a bracket that turned the motor sideways, bolting it through two factory holes on the chassis rail.

The headlight motor cover will be welded to the bracket soon and I will do a full writeup of the modification. Do you guys want a scale drawing of the brackets we made?

Looks good. I always wanted their kit but didn't want my lights up 24/7. Will you be selling that linkage?

Quick question for you US guys -

Is your front bumper iron bigger than the JDM Kouki bumper support? Trying to figure out if my headlight mod will clear the USDM front bumper.

Could someone please post a photo of their front end?

Yes, USDM bumper support are all bigger than their JDM counterpart. Most will hack/trim the support to fit JDM bumpers.

This gets rid if the only problem I have with buying the pbm ic.

Would be interested in buying the arms/kit or getting the scale drawing.

can someone please upload a photo of the USDM bumper iron on the car?

Is it normal / standard practice for people to trim it when fitting bodykits etc? The headlight motor just touches the JDM bumper support where I have it sitting, but there is no where else to put it.

No updates yet because my garage leaked and shorted out the garage lighting. We will have some news soon, once we refine the prototype on my car
