Mid mount FTW. I have one for sale. It'll make your turbo spool a LOT faster.

Remove the turbo and install high comp pistons. You cant get boost and throttle response, unless you are going with stupidly complex and expensive setups (like automatic off boost 25bhp NOS injection) or race fuel and high comp pistons. Or E85 and high comp pistons. Or get a smaller and/or roller bearing turbo.

Mid mount wont do shit, dont believe ppl who just happen to have exactly what they describe as miracle items for sale. It could help a bit to spool up the turbo, but dont expect more than 50rpm sooner spool.

If you did not already do it, get a custom remap ... THAT will yield results.

Besides i cant see how you dont get enough throttle response with your setup, you should already be at full boost near 2300-2400rpm (btw S14 blacktop and S15 turbos are the same, some late S14a and early jdm S15 had a roller bearing T28 ). If you have not, your car has a problem.

This.

Get an aggressive tune that maximizes timing in the midrange. This is probably your best bet. A larger throttle body might give the perception of better response also.

Beyond that we're talking serious mods.
