Great win by the Lakers, BUT i'm gonna go ahead and say it.....Gasol played like a bitch. Seriously, wtf? He's got a great basketball IQ and is one of the best power forwards in the game, but i seriously don't get that guy sometimes. He plays so timid sometimes, its embarrassing.

Jay...
Say what you will about Pau, but he took Rasheed out of the game mentally and physically and he did a heck of a job with Bynum making Perkins work crazy hard for every easy rebound or point. Pau's only hitch was on the offensive end today. He just had trouble finding a rhythm and holding onto the ball. People will cry flop on the Artest call but the reason Ron fell so much was because his left foot slipped out from under him when Pierce pushed him away. He lost his balance and couldn't recover it. That tiny misstep made it look over-exaggerated but it was a just a simple matter of his feet crossing up on him. Kobe took any rhythm (and Derek too by simply keeping up with Allen) away from Ray's game today. There was no way out of the blue on an off-balance shot Allen was going to hit that shot with a rushing Odom coming at him. That was nothing more than the difference between a decent team and a championship team gutting it out and fighting until the end. Great game from Bynum and Artest. Pau did a good job knocking any inside game the Celtics got going on. What Pau is and will be is the most skilled PF in the game, a player who is willing to do anything it takes to win (including taking a passenger seat along side anyone), a player who never complains about anything (sans one time when he wasn't getting any passes into the post on mismatches), the best power forward the Lakers have had since James Worthy and the cog in the engine that makes it run at a championship level. ![]() |

hahaha dude, don't get it twisted! I LOVE Pau. Like i said he's one of, if not THE best PF in the game. Our Lakers wouldn't be what they are without him. Period. What bothers me is that in a game like this, with his ridiculous skill set, he should be dominating. Even if Bynum is doing well, there's no reason why they can't put up big numbers at the same time. Defensively he was playing well, but offensively, there's no excuse to be THAT timid. He's gotta go up strong and finish. If he couldn't do it, it wouldn't bother me, but because you and and i both know just how good he is, an 11 point offensive performance is totally unacceptable. It'd be one thing if boston was really shutting him down, but it wasn't. His lack of offense presence was totally self inflicted. The weak lay up attempts and misses that EASILY could have been dunks and or free throws, the allowance of bullying by sub par players....that kinda stuff isn't cool.

My thots...
Even tho I hate the Cavs with a passion they got a big upgrade in Jamison who is a allstar type player. Im not sure what the money/contract situation that deal involves but from a player perspective: Jamison >>> Big Z. Knicks got T-mac who is on his way out and hasnt played much so we will see what he has to offer them this year other then a big name on the roster. It was a good move for them money wise tho to free cap space to go after big names this offseason. Bobcats made a good move in gettin Tyrus, hes a solid player when he wants to be and doesnt shoot jumpers all game and it pushs Wallace small forward, his natural position. Bulls just clearin cap space by get all these ppl on their last year of contract. Clearly lookin for that big name in the off season. Wizards must be lookin to do the same seeing as tho they just gave away every good player they had. |

That Big Z for Jamison trade is a bigger robbery than the Pau Gasol deal was. Especially since Big Z is gonna be bought out and resign with the Cavs.

THAT is why they took McGrady in the last year of a contract, he will either score huge points and trick one more team into thinking he can stay healthy for longer than 5 minutes. THAT is why they took on Eddie House, who can't guard his own lunch or create his own shot, if he wants to stay he takes what he is ACTUALLY worth, not some inflated number. -BUT- Danny Ferry is acting like he actually wants to keep LeBron in Cleveland by putting the right elements around him. The problem, though, is that Danny Ferry needs to FIRE his buddy Mike Brown, who is a shitty coach. Either Van Gundy brother would be looking down the barrel of a repeat right now with the players they had/have. This means that it is ALL on LeBron to win. Mike Brown is a shitty coach and it is stifling LeBron's development. No one on the team moves without the ball, including LeBron, because they're either waiting on him to do something or they ARE him and have the ball already. He dribbles out 10 seconds of the shot clock and everyone else plays "LOOK OUT BELOW" hoping for a pass when the defense collapses on him. Nothing more. In so much, they were outcoached by Van Gundy in the ECF last year and outcoached to the tune of a lesser player (Vince Carter) killing them in the 4th quarter Sunday while defensive adjustments were made, while Brown made NO adjustments. LeBron could be 35 points and 5 MORE assists a game with a better coach. |

You should hold your breath, then...
AI will play long enough every season now to make sure Reebok gives him that 6mil that they've promised him for every year he remains in the league. At this point, his value is so diminished that there is NO team that will actually pay him that amount. Sure, he has the reason of a sick daughter now, but let us not forget his bitching about playing time in Detroit and Memphis before this. Iverson is done as we remember him. |

I still believe Evans will win it, due to the fact that MVP awards and ROY awards are mostly
based on stats and point production. I was kind of hoping Curry or Ellis made that shot, so I get to see more game, lol. Shannon Brown appearance and signing Verizon store at the Irvine Spectrum Saturday, April 3 at 11am Get there early. First 200 are guaranteed to get inside to meet and greet Shannon Brown.
