If you didn't want to give the whole story, why even bother saying stuff about your car being stolen.. and even going as far as telling us you paid the guy who stole your car $300 to get it back..?

so i buy a car.
i cant work on cars where i live so i bring it to my good friends house
he has 2 roomates
one of them was in jail because h missed some court dates.
he bought a 5 lug car and gave me 4 lug spacers..
he had alot of money to pay for court costs etc.
he then said oh you owe me for the spacers.
my car was being held "hostage" at his house
i went to get my car the hood and the headlights were gone. i was upset that night and punched him in the face he smashed my windshield etc.

my title was in my car.. so yeah he put in on Craigslist.

so i called the police and pretty much told them the story..

so we went to his house he did something under the hood to screw up my car. it had to have been something not that complicated.
so my car came was running crappy but i had my title and key so i gave him the money.

then i was driving to go home it felt weird s i went to autozone checked the oil yadayadayada

it smelled like straght gas.
i went to do an oil change and he did something to the oil filter so i couldnt get it off.
so a guy was like poke a whole in it and use a screw driver..
it didnt work.. now i cant drive the car because the oil filter wont come off
so i get it towed to a shop...

i get home and i check my phone and he said i hope your motor blows and he also said that he did something so that it only fires on cyl. 2and3...

then yeah. like i said im still semi new to 240s.. so i figured you guys would help.
i really dont have time to like lie about my car.

but yeah..
does anyone have suggestions...

Oil probably smells like gas becuase cylinders 1 and 4 are flooding and the gas is getting by the rings and into the oil.

Is the car SR or KA? If you mentioned it earlier in the thread I dont care to go and look.

Usually a shop will tell you whats wrong with your car, if you have money to pay people that steal cars, then you more than likely have money to have a shop fix your car.

straight gas? and firing off of only 2 and 3 cylinder? hmm something to the injectors im thinking.. as far as getting the oil filter off, a shop should have a oil filter cap that fits ur size oil filter to get it off, its usually a special kinda cap only for oil filters. i dont see how he could do anything to your oil filter to keep it from coming off. and if u have a hole in ur oil filter, please dont drive your car at all. post pics!!!

check your distributor cable connections...they may not be in teh right locations...just judging by the pics

it look slike your spark plug wires were messed with, they're probably out of order.

your air box doesn't seem to be connected to your maf.

the valve cover 'breather' is completely open

breather is vacummed with a hose. on the intake.. the air box isnt connected because he took the screws lol

sounds like he fucked with your injectors. easy thing for him to have done is just removed them and jammed them back in, tearing up the o-rings. that would cause them to leak a shitload of gas and flood out cylinder. oil will smell like gas as a result, car will run like shit. symptoms that you seem to have described.

go to local parts store, get four sets of injector o-rings, and remove and reinstall all injectors with o-rings properly with lube (search for how to do this)

+1 on your spark plug wires possibly being out of order. looks funny in the pic. double check the plug wire order.

as for the oil filter; it's hard to take off. just man up and get it done. nothing he can really do to screw that up.

after you're done with the above steps, get a timing gun and time the car properly. since it runs the distributor is most likely stabbed correctly, but its probable he rotated it to a random position.
