power window help
Ok, my driver side window (s13) has been weird for a while now and I want to fix it. When I hit the power button to roll it down it goes down about half way, then just drops. When I try to roll it up the motors runs but the window doesn't move. I have to pop the door panel off and pull it up by hand which is gonna get annoying this summer. Anyone have any ideas as I have never messed with a power window before? thanks

also the cable that brings it up and down may have gotten caught in the gears. i just replaced my whole thing, was worth it, i use to put my hand through the bottom in the door panel to push it up, it sucked.

Re
Hey, I have this problem now... the window goes down and just drops, and the only way it will go up is if I pull it up by hand. The motor sounds solid, but when I press the up button the motor just spins. Is it the tracks, the wires, the gears? I need this problem fixed asap and I buying a new one isnt an option.
thanks |

The cable has either frayed or slipped of it's wheel, just pull and replace the regulator. The motor should be fine unless you see it's damaged as well when removed.
