Ls swapped s14 carbon fiber hood

So I recently finished the ls swap on my s14 kouki and my TA style carbon seibon hood won?t fit over throttle body. Anyone know what vented carbon fiber hood will fit over ls?

I would look into some drop-down engine mounts first. They'd be cheaper than a new carbon hood, and would also help lower the center of gravity.

Don't they have some pretty low clearance-minded oil pans for the LS? Alternatively, most dry sumps are pretty short as well. I know there's a moroso one that is real squat, and not too expensive. Those are just my thoughts, I would try to make the carbon work and spend the money on upgrading the oil pan and lowering the weight, then it'd be a win-win situation.

You should post photos and specs if you want real help. This all varies so much off mount kit, type of intake, size of TB.

I know I told you to space the hood up in the back. Does that not work?

What mount kit and what intake manifold/throttle body are you using? Maybe let's start with the basics - including pictures - so we can actually help.

Only thing touching the hood is the throttle body and the throttle cable. Only need 2 inches to close the hood but this is with the hood raised in the back and my hood pins also raised.

Also, I know stock carbon fiber hoods do fit without cutting so I guess I?m looking for a carbon fiber vented hood that doesn?t dip down?

ISR's are tall and don't drop the engine at all. If anything, you're doing yourself a disservice by raising that chunk of weight in the front even higher than it needs to be.

Your options:
1. Cut the hood
2. Run no hood
3. Get new mounts

Yeah I have a stock factory hood and it fits with no issues, I?m just trying to have a vented hood for cooling purposes. Maybe the dmax hood will fit because the vents go up?

Maybe test fit before you buy. See who has shit local - especially Texas being filled with S-chassis - and ask to bolt it on fast to see how fitment is.
