Easier to find for one, two I got this 97 q45 22k mile diff for cheap, 3rd I wanted the 3.69 gears for when I go big turbo, plan was todo big turbo over winter on my vert, but since I bought the Silvia instead I'm going to go all out and fully build a spare rb25, so for now I'm just swapping the stock rb25 set up into the Silvia
The diff just needs a good cleaning and paint/undercoating to it |

Some more pics, first day I had it I installed one of my 350z seats in, they are now both in and quick release steering wheel is also installed
Brand new Oem shift boot Nismo power brace, isr pro tension rods and energy suspension bushings installed on the front, haven't swapped in my loaded subframe yet with isr pro arms, pbm solid subframe riser bushings and energy suspension bushing kit and z brakes with 5 lug and z ebrakes Still waiting to swap the front z32 30mm calipers and 5 lug hubs Then some Black Friday purchases showed up yesterday and today!! Spal 1650 cfm pusher fans, I ran clutch fan on vert but I'm not cutting up the core support on the Silvia so high powered e fans will work Aem electronic boost gauge, ran a cheap glow shift before Waiting on enjuku to send me my aem uego wideband, solid diff bushings, walbro 255, isr rb25 short shifter, and few other things, Last edited by Climb385; 09-21-2017 at 12:47 AM.. It was very very simple, take the s and z seats and drill out spot welds on the two front brackets and the inner rear bracket, bolt the s brackets in car, line up the z outside rear bracket, tac weld the s brackets to the z seat rails, pull seat out and weld up completely, you'll have to make a 1" spacer for the front outside bracket

Well I got the sr yanked out, didn't take long, buyer came and picked up the sr, and many of my Black Friday parts have showed up!! Had to order ps lines mine got damaged pulling the sr out, but those should be here mid next week, and I ordered new wheels! Was an impulse buy but I ordered blitz 03's off of here!
Picked up some low mileage z32 wheel bearings, I broke an axle end of last year, drove home 20 miles and trashed the bearing, welded diff got me home tho! New aem wideband Got the sr pulled!! So glad it's gone Time to clean up the engine bay, drill the clutch mster out and get ready to swap in the Rb25 Isis short shifter, another Black Friday purchase Walbro 255 fuel pump Solid diff bushings for the q45, Hallman manual boost controller Had to order a skyline r33 clutch master to clear the greddy intake, hope that it will be here soon Last edited by Climb385; 09-21-2017 at 01:06 AM.. Well I got a lot of work done in the last few days figured I'd update this, sr is completely gone! And rb is installed and fired right up!!!! Finally got my 5 lug, z brakes and rear subframe from the new owner of my vert, got the q45 diff cleaned up swapped in a s13 vlsd high capacity diff cover, got the subframe and front 5 lug and z brakes installed, need to bleed the brakes and clutch. And I have to drop the rear lower control arms and replace the ball joints and bushings since I never got a chance todo so when I had the subframe out of the vert
Now for pics Got the new walbro 255 installed Blitz wheels finally showed up!! Got the new street faction vent pod installed with the new aem gauages Got the skyline r33 clutch master installed!! Talk about tight clearance!! Rb25 sitting in her new home!! Topping off coolant, plum'd intercooler piping just so I could start the car The vlsd cover Had to test fit the blitz wheels the second I got home with the wheel bearings and subframe Finally got the subframe up and and test fit the rear, and bolted the front calipers on, realized I needed to run a spacer in the front, so I had to order 15mm bolt on spacers Have to button up a few things, need to install driveshaft, fill trans fluid, run my boost gauge sensor, reinstall my seat, cut the front bumper beam for intercooler, and send my oem aero to paint |

Well I got the car 90% done, all I need to do is bleed the clutch, paint the oem aero, and enjoy her!!
Got the fender harnesses tucked up! Got new moog ball joints, and energy suspension bushings installed in my control arms, And I'm down in Houston tx for the next two months, first day here I picked up oem Canadian side skirts, going to sell my oem 180sx skirts as these will flow with the oem aero bumper much better |

Nice two-tone! I've got two currently (240sx, not Silvia) and have been on the fence about getting an actual Silvia or a sedan (Cefiro or Laurel) but your car is bringing me back to the Silvia. One I've been looking at is an auto currently like yours was. Is it difficult finding RHD 5 speed swap parts, or do LHD parts fit?

Well not much of an update as I have been in Texas for the last month and a half, but I have ordered a few parts, one of my favorites is a set of mint oem rear 1/4 window louvers!! Didn't plan on buying them but it kinda just happened, and currently working out a deal for getting a complete forged Rb25 all brand new still in boxes, Manley rods, cp pistons, arp head and main studs, n1 oil pump, Rb25 block with crank, complete head, so basically order timing components, head gasket, cams, springs/retainers, and drop it all off at machine shop, but here are pics of the louvers

Quick update: leaving Texas this up coming week, while I was here I bought a 04 srt-4, only had 84k miles on it, got it for 2500, bringing it back to pa, where I already have it sold for $5500' I only have a total of 3400 into it after title, and some repairs it needed, so I'm making a quick penny off of it, so the rb25 is coming back out of the Silvia and the whole car is going to the paint shop!!! Fresh paint for 2017, and going to have a bunch of stuff powder coated while it's out!!
Also just bought cts-v front brembo calipers and sti rear brembo calipers bye bye z32's But here are some pics!! Srt4 04 84k miles, agp wastegate, spearco intercooler, mopar intake, mopar blow off, straight pipe, mad dog 70% reduction short throw shifter, lowering springs, deff a fun car but bought to make quick flip and it deff happened!! And then the brembos, still waiting for them to show up, and I have to order 350z nismo rotors and 240 banjo style hoses Can't wait to get home and start tearing the car back down |

Well srt4 is sold!! So I have new plans for the Silvia! I'm pulling the motor back out and sending the whole car off to paint!!! Factory oem ivory white with Champagne gold metallic two tone, going to make the car look as if it just rolled off the showroom floor! Front brembos have been installed!
Brembos! Finally cut the oem bumper for the intercooler Ordered moldings from the dealer! All door moldings and both front and rear window trims Than all the parts that showed up while in was in Texas So motor is getting pulled out this weekend! Then sending the car off to paint!! I can't wait for it to be freshly painted!!! |
