BMW idle help??????

Ill be driving down a hill going 60 or so, and ill put it in neutral, then my needle on the tachometer needle will bounce from 1500 to 300 and my car will kill, it will idle just fine if im driving at 40 and put it in neutral i dont understand why it does this, anyone know whats going on??? info will be much appreciated!!!!

your maf has leak. does it idle like shit? if you can't drink champagne off the valve cover then it's idling like crap.

idle problem

It will idle just fine if im not moving, but slowing down in neutral the tach jumps up and down and it will often kill, depending on how fast im going when i put it neutral
