Fixed transmission problem (kinda), but now I forget which coolant hose goes into the heater core and which on the return is. Which one is which? I'm thinking the one that comes out of the block goes to the bottom hose. And the upper hose goes to return. Can someone verify this?

SR20DET cutting out at boost, possibly bad MAF?

I've finished my S13 SR20 swap and I'm having problems. As I described in this thread, it breaks up when it gets into boost. Bought new plugs, gapped them at 0.28, adjusted TPS, did a boost leak test and didn't find anything. Plugged out coilpacks, one by one and engine bogs a bit with each one. Plugged out injectors one by one and does the same thing. So, those seem to be fine. Otherwise, double checked everything else.

What is making me think that it's the MAF is how it reacts when I mess with it. If I unplug it, it'll bog down for a second but then build up and have a better idle then when it's plugged in; plugged in it revs, but cuts out when it hits boost, and plugged out, it hits that normal no MAF wall. Also, when it's plugged in vacuum is at 18-19 and 22-23 when plugged out. Doesn't something seem strange there? Decided to pull ECU codes and I'm getting 12; which I'm reading is the MAF. Does all this point to a bad or going bad maf?

It works fine WOT, until it hits boost and then everything cuts out. Could it be that the MAF is going bad and it messes up during boost? I'm pretty much stuck at this point. Do you guys think it could be the MAF?

Another question that sounds more like it wants opinion.
You want the lowest?
You want the cheapest?
You prefer side/bottom mount?
You want the brand that matches your seat?
You want someones opinion on what they think is best?

Come on people you gotta work with us with these questions.

I need the lowest position as possible. I dont see no answer on any forum or google... Some guys say they go low and other say they hit the ajustement rod. And yes I want my bucket to go side mount because it can go more lower... Any answer will be apreciate.

After looking at it, it looks like the coolant that goes out of the block goes to the upper heater core hose because that upper hose can't reach the return hose under the manifold. Is this right?

Bride or Nagisa/Nams. I assume you're talking about seat rails.

Check eBay. I bought my 3" test pipe there and it's good quality stainless steel. There might be something stock sized on there.

To echo Irresistible,

Bride FG and Nagisa Double locking rails are the only rails aside from custom work that will go the lowest.

All other ones have the under-seat style slider locks which, yes, do his the seat.

I'd go with the latter. Then get whatever other links/bushings I need with the saved $430.

I tried a search, but came up short.

Is there any DIY on how to install HID's for an S14 Kouki? I know it's pretty simple, but I was just wondering.

Order the HID kit, install. If you can't figure it out you have a problem. Every plug only has one plug it matches up to.

this

an autozone employee told me that he never shops there because even with his employee discount (~25%) its still priced higher than other places.

Napa pricing is always pretty low and quality is usually great. Napa oil is made by the same company that makes the Valvoline oils, except Valvoline uses different specs.
