wow, how many people got my flier for the dday 6?

anyway, the club4ag + battleswing guys are hoping for a good turn out in july. So make sure u guys bring your friends too, bring a helmet, there'll be no loaners, and make sure your cars will pass tech inspection!

if the turn out is good, they might be able to get it to become a monthly event, perhaps even bimonthly.

Hows it going everyone..

Glad everyone had a good time with the meet and their cars. Me I am ( Like usual) frustrated. Broke the bolt of the brake booster, where the Master Cylinder goes. Oh well, need to buy another one. Have a couple of things to say..

1) Koto.. Move to Oakland or National City in San Diego. No trouble for you to find smelly hoes.. Just hope your nose does not go numb and fall off. HAHAHAHA

2) Anybody selling their stock 240sx 17inch rims. Need 2 of them. I know they are 5-lug. But need for my car.

3) Mike- Please .. oh please give me a e-mail. Need to talk to you about your car. [email protected]

Can someone post more info on the drift event? I was at the meet but I didnt get a flyer? Heh i had the ghetto banged up white 240 with the east bear head lights .
Also, what is the tech inspection ? fluids brakes etc? I got my own helmet =D but no drifting skills =/

There's not much imformation has been released yet, the only thing I know is on July 5 at Candlestick park in San Francisco and it is hosted by club4ag. For more information, please check back www.driftday.com later. They usually only release the next event information after the coming up event is finished.

--------------------Anyway, here's the lowdown from what I know from the guys organizing it.

Some club4ag guys will be flying up and/or driving up from socal to supervise the entire event.

It's sponsored by Drift Association, LLC.

----No -official information- has been released on the drift event. However, there -will- be an official announcement AFTER Drift Day 5.

---General information that you should know applies to all drift days, basically tech inspection, make sure your car is in good condition. No cracks on the windshield, tape up your side markers and your brake lights and stuff like that, seatbelts have to be working, nothing loose or weird inside the car or in the trunk, basically clean your friggin' car!!! Wheel bearings should be in good condition, nothing loose inside the engine bay, and your battery should be tied down, no leaks of any sort, etc etc.

er here's an excerpt from dday 5.

Registration and Waiver Form
Proof of Payment (printed copy if paid on-line)
Your Car MUST be inspected for safety at the locations listed below.

At least 2 spare tires (no one will be allowed to run with "temporary spare" tires or tires with no tread left.

Brake pads should be more than 25% remaining or will fail tech.

Flush and bleed, and purge brake systems

Extra oil and radiator hoses (suggested)

Water

Working Jack and basic tools

Masking Tape, Duct Tape, and chalk

DOT - SA95, MA95 or newer rating approved helmet (driver and passenger) NO LOANER AVAILABLE

Remove floor mat, loose items, amps, and subwoofers.

Remove all hubcaps before entering track.

Make sure seatbelts are secure and all doors and openings are latched securely.

Preparation for wet weather is also suggested if forecasts warrant such climate. Event will be rain or shine.

Fire Extinguishers are nice to have in your paddock area

Just basically make sure you have a means of transportation to the event, and back home incase any accidents occur.

---As a reference, at a drift day not too long ago, someone got rear ended by some newb that didn't pay attention at the driver's meeting and didn't follow directions about giving the driver in front of him some space and courteousness, etc. -- So please, becareful on the course. Also, if you get in a wreck, or if someone hits you. Tough luck, you'll have to accept the damage and no one is at blame, even if the guy that hit you was a total turd. You signed a waiver, meaning no promises.

i looked on club4ag.com, and it says drift day 6 is in fontana on july 25-26. huh? what's the one in SF then?

fontana cali in late july is drift day 7.

drift day 6 is on the 5th of july.

drift day 6 is an exhibition in the bay area to test the waters to see if it catches on. if it does, then more drift days in NorCal.

----Yes, you can go to the event to hang out, however, you'll probably have to pay a minimum fee of 5-10 bux to spectate.

Most likely drivers can bring one extra person for free as pit crew.

hey guys, if your looking for helmets but have found any cheap ones then check this site out here 59 bucks for a helmet. I think this is a pretty good ****in deal here. Am gonna order mine for the DD this July this monday when i get my paycheck. just sharing the info to your guys. l8s..

If youre going to bother spending money on a helmet I wouldnt get anything less than SA2000 so you can use it on tracks as well as at drift events.

the helmets are snell aproved and exceed DOT ratings. but i could be wrong.

some of those helmets are SA95 only (many places require SA2000), and some don't say.

aren't those motorcycle helmets anyway?

You must admit it would be fun to go watch it together and laugh at how horrible it is (and at how we get to see a Mustang AND a Camaro destroyed in the same scene ).

And this time, the meet should be in Frisco/Daly City (I suggest Century 21 in Daly City -- Free Parking!)

Besides it has Skylines and stuff.

So yeah.
