I am selling a Nissan Quest alternator. $85 shipped and it's yours. I think I can fit it in a big flat rate box.

I got the quest alternator to fit my kade w/ minimal bracket modification... used a drill bit to widen the slot a bit towards in the engine side. Slides like factory.

Check your positive lines come off the battery and make sure they are not shorting out at all and all grounds are good. I had a similar problem killing batteries and alternators and every time I had them test it it was ok. I have a 95 so not to sure how similar the wiring is but my bet is they're close in those respects.

what exactly did you do to fix your problem? was your positive line shortening out?

is there a relay i should check?
im not sure but i tink the hid kit i had on could of been the culprit... i have since taken it off but im still only reading 12.5-12.6 voltage while the car is on...

Yea one of my positive lines had a bad connection, heated up because of the resistance then melted the plastic connector and totally lost power. All my dash lights turn, signals and brake lights went out and the car wouldn't go higher than 3rd gear. Oh and the ac didn't work. Now it's all fixed ill try and get a pic.

Shitty alternator...its not uncommon to get shitty alternator from Autozone. SOme folks had to replace their Autozone alternator 3-4 times before they got one that worked.

so i went to oriellys and got another alty.... when i bought it i realized the pulley is smaller than the one from autozone.. which is not a bad thing..smaller puller more amps.. which is good.. so put it on had to get a shorter belt and cleaned up the corrosion that was built up on the batt... got that charged too by the way... and i also realized that the ground for batt was loose as hell.. so i had to put that in a different spot... so now im seing 14+ volts.. when i turn my hids its around 13.5 or so./

now the issue im having is one hid always goes out.. im thinking i need to put a relay on it/. any body else running a relay?
