From Redline's rules:

"SECTION 7 – DRIFT CLASS
The Drift Class is designed for and limited to vehicles that are built for drifting. The vehicle
should be a vehicle that has competed in, or has been built to compete in, sanctioned drifting
events. Redline officials will make the final decision as to whether a vehicle is eligible to
compete in the Drift Class."

its not really that much of a difference, I wouldn't assume these guys to still run drift settings at this grip event. I'm sure everything was then tuned for grip. There really aren't terrible differences from grip car and drift car nowadays....aero dynamics is a big deal....drifting not so much.

you've actually covered the main points but its also things like ride height. time attack cars aren't slammed like drift cars.

as far as tires, professional drift cars don't have a "special" tire for drifting. for instance the hankook camero is running RS-3's to drift AND grip. maybe you meant tire pressures?

Honestly, it takes a better driver to be a time attack driver than it does to be a "drift" driver. Thats how I look at it....

Congrats to the GSP S14. I love that thing!

What actual godspeed product did the car acutally use besides the intercooler and the stickers? I want a list of godspeed "goodies" that are on the car.

i know suspension is usually a lot stiffer on drift cars and a lot of professional time attack cars don't run huge sway bars and super stiff coilovers for more weight transfer and grip.

saw this car at adams, sounds mean!
