Less weight, frees up power, if it fits it couldn't hurt.

unless it doesnt fit up.
My brother had purchased a egay header for his Teggy a little while ago. It was $100 shipped, ended up picking it up at their place of business to save a couple bucks, drove home and tried it on.. ends up it didnt line up, needed to weld/cut/realign blah blah. Then again. It is $100, Do sohc's have the cat in the downpipe or is that only with dohcs? because otherwise you wont be running a cat |

Only S14s have the converter in the downpipe.

Had one way back in the day. O2 was clocked and wire rubbed on firewall. Pipe was also really close to the floor. Not saying they haven't revised it though. All in all it needed some massaging, but you can hardly buy the material for the price of the whole part.

I have one waiting at home, it will be going in tomorrow! 10* weather will not stop me.
And yes you probably should get a flex pipe regardless of engine mounts...and a highflow in place of the s14's fake cat. |

After owning an OBX header for my S13 for a couple months, I hated it.
Quality sucked, very raspy, shit brown color also sucks(it won't stay polished for long), fitment wasn't great. Now, running a DC sports header. Definitely a difference. I would say save up and go with something better, but not a lot of people are willing to drop $400 for a DC Sports header now a days. Your car. Your money. |

they dont make dc headers for single cams johnny. i would have gone with one of those for my old one. i had hotshot on my sohc. it worked damn great. but now that i'm dohc dc is the shit. i how ever don't think either dc nor hotshot are still in production for our cars.

I used to run a Hotshot header in my old single cam. Bought it new(long before they closed up Hotshot). I loved the quality. Never had any problems with it. A quick google search brings up several stores that still carry DC Sports headers. But, yeah. Several people run ebay headers. Hit or miss. |

but i say you can always try it. it's either save up and do it big, or just try it and hope for the best.

Also, the EGR tube is not necessary, I just cut mine off behind the motor and plugged it. I plan to get the EGR block-off plate someday. |

i had an OBX on my single cam and i thought it was pretty decent. like someone said, the O2 sensor hit the firewall, but i just dented the firewall in a bit to clear.
and mine turned gold and blue as well. which i like way more than just polished silvery lameness. just dont ever buy pacesetter. ever. |
