am i missing a bolt?
ok so i was looking at the under carriage of my s13 today i noticed where the bell housing attaches to the engine, there was a hole without a bolt in it. my question is, is there suppose to be a bolt in that hole or is it for something else? i mean there in another bolt right by it so why would there be two bolts so close together?
btw this is a sr20det. it's the hole by the bolt in the red circle, and it's on the passenger side, very close to the clutch slave cylinder. |

stick a small screwdriver in there to see if it goes in far...like a bolt hole to the engine side.
is the hole threaded? i think that might be an alignment dowel. to line up the engine/tranny.... |

dude get a mirror and a flashlight and LOOK!
for all the time and effort you spent taking a picture, uploading it, and making a thread you couldve easily answered your own question. if its threaded, get a bolt and install it. quite possibly there is an alignment dowel there. ugh. |

yes, there will be a pin pressed into the block that seats into that hole from the block side.
