1989 Mazda RX7 Turbo II Hello everyone, just like the title states I have an FC RX7 available. I picked this car up after parting out a race car over the Summer of 2016. I have had a number of these cars and will always love them. However, there are some things I am trying to accomplish in the next year or so and this car is about to get either sold, or put away for storage. This car is in really great condition as a whole. Some minor blemishes do exist, but nothing too scary. I will be as honest as I can below describing the details. GOOD. • 91,6xx.xx Original miles • All OEM, basically unmolested from engine modifications. • New set of Tein BASIC Adjustable coilovers • Less than 500 miles on Stoptech rotors, pads, fresh brake fluid, and new stainless braided brake lines. • All black leather interior that is in 7/10 condition. Driver seat has wear but all else is fairly nice. • Has OEM MOMO Steering wheel • Has black cargo cover for rear hatch (rare) • Engine runs great, have start up videos of cold AND hot. • Has red exterior with tiny dings and very little fade (was told that color could easily be brought back with a buff) • No noises from turbo at all. Everything is in order, boost comes online when it should and car pulls strong. • Low amount of owners, all of which seemed to be enthusiasts’, so car has been treated decent. • Very hard to find these cars now. However, parts are still plentiful. • Moon roof that is in working order (could use oiled) • Has no typical electrical issues other than the ones listed below. • Car operates very smoothly. LOVE driving this long distances, and my girlfriend prefers we take this over my FRS for highway trips. • AC works decent, could use a re-charge soon. • No check engine lights, OMP works great OIL has recently been changed before storage. • CAR HAS NEVER BEEN TRACKED OR DRIFTED. • Still has OEM S5 Turbo 2 wheels WITH CENTER CAPS! BAD. • Has minor rust spot on passenger rear fender (only rust on whole car, rest is absolutely spotless, including the bottom) • Very small ding on driver door, and passenger front fender (could barely get them to show in pictures.) • OEM radio malfunctioned and started making screech noises. • Seat belt tracks are not functioning (mazda will fix this for free) • Shifter bushings could be replaced (easy peasy) • Was leaking oil at filter pedestal (fixed as of 10/16) Still residual oil however. • Driver seat is a little worn, but I don’t think it would be too difficult to source another if you were planning on restoring it. I am in no rush to sell the car. This has been my favorite FC I have ever owned (have had 4). I get compliments on it wherever I go. When I go watch races instead of drive, it always gathers a crowd. It’s fun to listen to some of the older gentlemen talk about when they had one. This is easily one of the cleanest T2’s in MI. My intentions were to make some minor modifications involving keeping it cool and suspension changes. Most cars I own do see some track time, but this was only going to be an HPDE car. (VERY RARELY AT THAT) Other than that I had planned on finding some cool 2000-2003 era bits and trinkets to put on it. I AM FLEXIBLE ON THE PRICE SO THIS IS OBO. Haggerty sees the car at: $7,500 in good condition (I believe it is) with potential for $14,000 for excellent. Haggerty also sees these cars making a big jump in the next few years. NADA sees the car at $5000 on low retail and $12,000 on high retail. Hemmings Has seen them sell for around $7500 MY PRICE IS $6995 OBO. I will entertain trades, but NO PROJECTS. NO DRIFT CARS.
