last night when i started my car, it was a little slow to start, like the battery was nearly dead. This morning i go out to start it and nothing happens. the car acts as if i'm not pushing the clutch in. Everything electrical works and the battery checks out as good (only a month old). my friend had an oldsmobile that did this same thing and it turned out to be the starter, but i wanna know what you guys think....

Sounds like it could be the starter if all of your electrical stuff (interior lights, headlights, stereo, etc) works fine. I had a car that would do the same thing, and after the shop changed the altenator, and the battery, and a few other things (luckily all warranty no cost to me), we had it towed in again to find out that the starter was gone.

I'd say starter. You can hotwire it to be sure...

i spent $139.99 at the local parts house today for a new starter and problem solved. it was a whole lot easier to change than i was afraid it gonna be. just glad this car isn't front drive, what a pain!!

Personally, that happened when I first bought my car. Tho my prob was intermittent, as the damaged part was only semi-broken After 3 mechanics, I discovered through a friend that it was the distributor. I've since pointed out the same thing on 2 other cars (one of which was another 240).
See if you can find a shop that would be willing to plug your computer into a nissan error reader and check the codes.
Just my $0.02 Hope it helps.
