I have a '91 Coupe SE, and my digital speedo only works for five seconds at start-up. Anyone else who now has or used to have the same problem?

I'm not too big on digital. My dash was completely digital in my old 200SX and it was a pain. My tach would turn on and off whenever it felt (and quite frequently) and at one point all my guages turned off at once. Sorry i can't really help. I can only suggest that you go analogue next time :-)

Digital dashes that break seem to be a mystery in any type of car, there could be a dozen little things wrong. I would by an anolog dash and put that in, if you could find one get and analog dash from england there speedo goes up to 150 mph, not 110 like the states.

I know that if you have the time, you can find places that you send the dash to, and they will recrystalize it, and replace the bulbs and run a diagnostic on it.  Never had it done in my '96, as it is analog, but in my Corvette I had to.  It ran $375.

I work for a Nissan dealership and the Service Manager told me an estimate of $900. I figured I could just purchase an external speedo and mount it on the pillar pod. Thanks for your help guys, I'm definitely going for an analog next time. Aside from the speedo and my door locks, I love my car (and its cams!).
Oh, yeah, my power door locks only work when I'm unlocking the door. Anyone? (hehe)
