95 240sx 5 spd. TPS sensor plug missing?
Hello Guys,
I recently purchased my first s14. Im a long time nissan maxima owner but wanted some rwd love,. Anyways I got this 95 240s which is an original 5 sp car. The previous owner swaped the engine due to HG failure. Im not sure if he used an auto or 5 spd donor engine. Anyways, the car idles a little low with the ac off. like 550 and i started looking at the tps . the 3 wire plu is missing on the tps, but it does have a second harness that comes out of the tps itself that that is plugged into the engine harness. Now the car runs, revs, drives fine, just idles a bit too low(rough) without the ac on. I looked and i dont see the plug on the harness at all. I did pick one up at the yard incase i need to wire it to the ecu. im not familiar w these cars so i want to know if the other plug which is missing is only used for automatic cars? i will post pics tomorrow. thanks for the help |

IIRC, the extra plug on TPS is for the kick-down switch on an auto. Not needed for a MT car. If the car has always idled low with this new motor, the IACV most likely needs to be adjusted slightly. Be ready to readjust your ignition timing when you do this as it will probably change with the idle increase.
