ignition lock problem

so today i got started on my lock set replacing and i ran into a problem trying to remove the ignition lock. there are 2 screws holding it in at the bottom of the lock. thing is i dont know how to remove them. they look like rivets but i look at my replacement ignition lock and the holes that the screws go through are threaded. total mission fail. can anyone help? any enlightenment would be appreciated.

o its a 89 fastback if that helps anything
