Okay so i got in my 240 this morning (92 Coupe) annnddd battery was dead....so i jumped the car off and it turned right on....well come to find out that my brake lights are staying on ALL the time...but thing is...is that my Driver side brake lights are out...so i pulled the connector from the brake light switch near the brake pedal..and the brake lights go out...plug back in they come back on. Question is...do i have a bad brake light switch? or is my driver side brake lights being out a cause of the problem? Pulled the dual filament bulbs out of their sockets and where they sit in..the connectors were black/corroded?

Here is what the socket looks like for the Driver side brake light that is out..think thats why the brake lights are stayin on too? idk why im confused on this....Any input?

have you replaced the pump/sock?
i have no problems with the gauge sticking, it just fluctuates entirely too damn much. and no i havent changed the pump or the sock. would that even make a difference? i would think it would be a problem with the fuel level sender or something. to tell you the truth i have no idea though. like i said, my old ass S13 never did this at all.

got a sr20det black top , factory motor on my 180sx,

i just got the car and i noticed the spark was getting blown out (incorrect gap) i changed the plugs over to bkr6ek , noticed that this new plug has two prongs on the end, and apparently you dont have to gap them.

power is smooth all the way till redline, but sometimes are will have flat spots and even feels like its surging, only when i load it up in gear 3.

i took car drifting, and it did a massive back fire first turn, so i tried again, did the backfire and car lost all power, when i accelerate it did not go , then it stalled, then would not start , then some how started after 30 minutes of cranking and looking at the engine bay, didnt touch anything.

my question is why does my car backfire when drifting and sometimes loading up 3rd gear.

mods include vent to atmosphere bov, 3 inch exhaust catback and pod filter. stock ecu

any help appreciated

Can't really tell from this but I would start by re-circulating your BOV
that is metered air that your MAF thinks it's getting to the motor
unless your have after makert EFI that accounts for this

Quick question. My fuel pump switch keeps getting hot and would melt the plastic on the inside. It's the little metal knob switches and would last about a wk before it fails. I tryed a higher amp but still melts. Any help is apperciated. Thanks

Ive tried searching, but just to be sure, does the isis braided steering line replace the hardlines on the steering rack. i have a leak from the hardline, and they are hard to get ahold of because everyone and their brother needs them for sr swaps

does the KA24DE thermostat have the little jiggly nipple thing on it like the SR20 one does? Autozone sold me a cheap-ass looking Duralast thermostat and it doesnt have the nipple thing so im wondering if it's even the right one...? they have sold me the wrong brake pads before so it wouldnt surprise me if this shit is wrong.

im going to go with yes, if frsport labels all their products correctly which i would think they do.

Genuine OEM Nissan Thermostat for SR20DET KA24DE

and you have been in the game long enough to know autozone is no bueno.

DO i need to use a 240sx water temp sensor (the single wire one for the gauge) for on a rb25 motor in order to get my temperature to work on my s13?

Reason i ask my friends rb20 works with the rb20 sensor, and my gauge isnt working.

Just installed an AEM UEGO wideband.

At idle, a/f is 13.5
cruising at constant speed its 14.5-15.0
If I give it some gas, drops to ~12.0 while accelerating.

Do these values sound good? Cruising a/f seems a little high to me, but I don't have enough experience with it to know for certain.

edit: stock redtop

Hey guys, so I'm working on my SR swap and the shifter that came with the tranny was disassembled. I've searched and can't find anything to tell me how to put it back together. Can anyone help me out or link me to something helpful?
