hahah all good man, no worries. and i hated that r32 wheel. but i do have an aftermarket wheel and hub on there now. im not sure if you saw it on there or not.

but with the r32 wheel i didnt have turn signal turn offs or horn. so i put the stock there to gain those while ordered the wheel.

hahahahah yea, dude its not on the top of my list, but ill get to it tomorrow when i do my seatbelts.

anyway. over this weekend, i got my windows tanted. 20% all around courtesy of my gf for my 22nd birthday. tint man bob is awesome, does great work and travels to you.

car is dirty but this is what its looking like

then i got into the driveline.
had to re-tap the cross member bolts. wasnt to bad.

new member, and nismo mount.

old and busted.

got the old diff dropped.

man the car is dirty, but those tints look so fucking gooood.

s15 hlsd, huge thanks to chris and terry from the Car Repair Doctors for installing and cleaning it up. looks, feels and performs like no diff ive had.

got it installed no problem at all!

new alm driveshaft. got that for 250$ and didnt even have to pick it up.

all installed and makes me feel great to get rid of that carrier bearing.

going to install manual seatbelts tomorrow. a couple more parts still waiting on coming in. wont get to the turbo for another couple weeks, but its no big deal. more updates as they arrive

it feels like there is a lot less slop in the driveline. also with my 3puck, it does shudder sometimes. but without the mount for the carrier bearing. the shudder has almost vanished. it was a well worth while upgrade.

nothing crazy. i was going to do turbo this weekend but my wheel bearings have been going out lately and the rear driver finally started grinding pretty bad.
starting out.

got the old ones off, and heres where is gets shitty. i called a couple local places and the lowest i could find for someone removing my old bearings and pressing the new ones on was 90$ and they couldnt get to it until monday. i was like wtf...... so i was like fuck this. so i went out and bought a hydro press and bearing remover. which by the way, wasnt as expensive as i thought.

got them new and all pressed on, ready to go.

driver side back together.

passenger side back together.

everythings running fantastic now. pretty happy, starting my turbo swap. will do it next weekend.

hey thanks buddy
sooooo i finally got around to putting my carpet in!!! and manual seatbelts. which i knew i was going to hate it. but ill be getting in touch with mikesters friends to get all the pillars i need..... any who. my carpet was a complete wreck, but its 99.9% better.
new carpet

me pulling old carpet out, it looks like people buttfucked regularly on it.

at this point im like holy hell.

pulling rear section out to get the manual seat belts connected

it got dark so i moved into the garage.

at this point, pictures were getting tiring and i was just trying to get to work, so i dont have anything else until i actually have the new carpet in, like so.

looking all sexy now

HOPEFULLY getting to the turbo this weekend, doing u-joints and subframe next weekend. but we will see how it goes. thanks for looking fellers.

finally got to throw to new turbo on. happy with it. the only thing that pisses me off. is that you needed specific parts for the "replacement" stock turbo. i ordered everything in advance. so i was lucky but its just annoying.
i didnt get near as many pictures as i though i did. but here ya go.

unbolted the manifold, got everything moved out of the way

got it away

GONE!

new setup going on.

all put back together, removed the heat wrap because upon putting the turbo on and off a few times it came pretty loose and i was just like fawk it.

but it all sounds great and havent had a problem other than a vibration from some of the downpipe hitting the frame rail at higher rpm. and the ziptie breaking that was keeping the powersteering pump taut... and now it squeals. arg. will hopefully find one soon and fix.

thanks man

small parts updates. getting away from "modding" and now just strictly working on fixing and maintaining for the time being. so its about to get boring in this thread for sure.
but anyway. still waiting on bushings and new pump.

Cool that you got that S15 HLSD installed...I've heard really good things about it for DD's and I'm thinking of going that route myself!

yea i looked around a lot before finally pulling the trigger on it. it really is the best dif ive ever had. ive been through a few kaaz and stock vlsd z32 vlsd. and it really is amazing. its very quiet and doesnt clunk or wine. and it instantly locks. but doesnt chirp tires either. the only negative thing, is i did get kinda hung in a driveway that made me hang one of the rear wheels. my advice would be to get good coilovers and remove the rear sway. thats what i did.

minor update, i half assed my short shifter install last week so i went back to fix it properly.
lowered the transmission so i could thread bolts easily up top.

pulled the shifter apart and greased it up, threw on some rtv grey.

i didnt take a picture of it all back together, so my bad. but its all back and working perfectly.
also, i decided to try my hand at upholstery

sprayed down the card, layed the fabric over and started to mold to the best of what i could.

end result.

i dont think its to bad of a job, i will redo them shortly with thicker fabric so it will be easier to get to lay flat, and a slower drying adhesive.
