fuel injectors

what injectors fit in what motors with no modifications?
example
will sr20 injectors fit a ka24e?
ka24de in a ka24e?
stuff like that any help would be good thanks

so you can only swap when your turbo charging because of the stand alone or what?

no dude ..

turbocharging = more air into engine.
more air needs more fuel.

bigger injectors = more fuel

and yes you will need some kind of tuning when you turbocharge a ka.

this thread wont give you any answers anyways man. try using google or the zilvia search engine. the world of injectors is very vast.

i know turbo charging is more air in the cyl. meaning needs more gas so you swap to bigger injectors. the injectors are bad on my ka and i was wondering if i could switch to sr injectors without turbo charging. thats why i was mainly asking

if you replace with bigger injectors you'll have to re-tune the ecu, but i do know KA injectors fit on the SR so i don't see why the SRs wont fit on the KA
if i were you though id just upgrade to some nice Deatsch Werks

thats what i was looking for. i didnt know if you had to flash the ecu or get a stand alone. there's always deals on sr20 injectors so i was gonna swoop some up if i didnt need to retune. thanks guys appreciate it

Yes, you need to retune or a stand alone... KA are 270cc, and SR are 370cc... by retuning you will tell your ECU to inject 73% of his "normal" pulse width to inject the same quantity.

Ok. So both ka-e and ka-de injectors are the same right. Only difference is the head.

The KA was found in more cars than the 240sx. You can get the stock injectors from several more common cars like the Altima.

why not have your injectors tested and cleaned/calibrated. RC Engineering in Torrance does this service.

i ran junkyard altama injectors for months with no problems and there only 2 bucks for as many as you can find

yup
you can use a safc if you must. but its not a good option really. ok if your not running any or much boost.. but its not really worth the money..
i would just junkyard some injectors and run them untill your ready to turbo. and then do it right.
i guess you could get a safc, a wideband and some sr injectors and try to squeeze alittle more power out of the ka.. but i doubt you would do anything but make your car run shitty.

When I took the fuel rail off all injectors were on the rail and as I went to put it on the parts table three fell and broke the plasic tips on them

Be sure you know what year the Z32 is you are pulling from. 90-94 300ZXs use Phase-I injectors. This year range covers most of Z32's imported to the states. The 95-96 Z32s use Phase-II, just like all of the KA and SRs.

You could also pull from a Q45. V8 = 2 sets of injectors, but you need to take the same precautions. The early Q45 came with Phase-I, too.

I would highly recommend getting any junk yard pulls checked and serviced before installing!

Just so you know...the Phase-I and Phase-II are not interchangeable.
