Sounds like a good idea, but like my good friend Edwin always says, it's not how you stand by your car...
So how will people know who I am when I'm not posing by my car? Maybe we should wear nametags...

BTW Westborough, how do you like that Autopower cage?
I've been thinking about getting one, depending on if I can decide which part of the car to do next...

Hey Salty, nightwalker is mechaniac. mechaniac is nightwalker. Also check out the tech section for "Hicas sway bar impressions" I just installed Tein HEs, whiteline sways, SPL RUCA, and cusco strut bars on my cousins car. All at one time! Insane! He has too much money. I had to take my time with my stuff.

hey mike, I'm down, I don't know about David though. He's been upset that he can't figure out the shaking problem in his Hachi.

Hey nightwalker, I was wondering what kind of settings on the HEs you run for highway driving? I've been on 6 from the hardest and it's great for in-city, but kinda sucks ass for the highway. Just wondering how yours are set.

I want to caravan with the sac people. We just need a location. If you are coming down I5 I'll meet up with you in Tracy. If you are coming down 99 I'll catch you in Manteca. Just let me know what time and where.

I have mine set at 5 clicks counter-clockwise from the hardest in the front, and 6 clicks counter-clockwise from hardest in the rear. It's a nice ride with some stiffness, but not harsh. I have the rear of my car gutted so you might want to take that into consideration. My cousin's car which has full interior is set 4 clicks counter-clockwise in the rear. The weight makes a difference. You can go one click or so more all around for a softer ride, but not too much because it starts feeling underdampened.

i just got my ride and it came with HE's - i adjusted mine, its 6/6 F/R i think from hardest - and it sucks for city and highway driving

is there any danger in setting it softer??? my car is lowered like 2 inches i believe, so take that into consideration

Try "R - Crew Racing. 415-467-2246. I am not sure where they get their engines though. I know they just moved from SF to Brisbane so they are waiting on their permit. Seem like cool guys though.

OK, so I might get blasted for this one. However, I am wondering what this scene is really going to be like. I am 32, have a wife, 2 kids and one on the way. I love my car but I love my fam more. Is there a possibility of violence or will people be cool. I am new to the area, and am just lookin for some guys with the same passion to hang and talk with. I would like to bring the fam as they are into the cars as well.

There's really like 24 steps, but you should never go past 16 steps starting from the hardest (full clockwise), doing so is not good for the coilovers. So as long as you stay within the last 16 steps you'll be fine.

I'm with you man, I don't have a wife or kids to bring but if the shit start's hitting the fan I'm gone. I'm not driving an hour and a half to brawl with some Supra guys for no reason, I'm just going to hang out, meet some people, eat some food, and whatever else is planned...

This is the second time this meet has been organized. I went to the first one, and everyone there was really cool, and we just had a good time talking about cars and having a BBQ. Looks like it'll be way bigger this time though.
