i wanna know if the engines are the same cause my machanic put a 97 engine in my car but the valve doesn't fit! is that possible? i thought the engines were the same. where he bought the engine, it didn't come with the valve cover. so he tried putting the one from my original engine. please help.

Its the same basic engine setup but the 97-98 are very different from say a 91-94. I found out the hard way, seems you did too. Wiring is very different to. The 97-98 is a coilless distributor.

rmtaylor will tell you...his 92 KADE is much more wire enhanced than mine. &nbsp;He has a coil pack for the cap and rotor where i do not. &nbsp;He also has a lot more wiring going to the injectors etc.

that's most likely from the OBDI-OBDII switch. for all practical purposes, the engines are identical.
