Exclamation S13 Digital Speedometer with HUD Reads 0

-1992 S13 KA24DE
-Manual transmission
-Digital cluster with HUD

I have searched through many forums, but cannot find my issue.
My speedometer does not work.
The digital screen in the cluster and the one for the HUD both light up and read 0. Any issues that I've read about that others have with the HUD cluster are concerning the screen not lighting up at all.
I have replaced the VSS with a new one.
Everything else in the cluster works, besides the odometer of course.

Any help is much appreciated.

GPS isn't always correct.

Are you sure you weren't going 0mph?

Seriously though... I know something needs to be changed other than the cluster subharness. I had a digi cluster that read 0 in a vert I bought. I found the original cluster in the trunk with the sub harness... swapped back to the original one and it worked fine... So I'm sure the PO didn't change something, and I didn't care enough to find out what it was.

Okay. So I found out that the wire from the VSS leads to a plug that is supposed to go to the cruise control module. Does anyone know how I can wire the two wires from the VSS directly to my speedometer?
