My rear caliper leaks and when it goes low I just refill the master cylinder. It went low and I filled it but now I've lost all pressure in my brake pedal. I'd have to press it to the floor for it to work. I've been pumping the brakes to get fluid back into the system but the pressure still isn't back. The cylinder worked fine before this. What else can I do to return the pressure?

AEM Oil Temp Gauge in an Greddy Oil Filter Sandwich plate.

What adapter do I need to get this to work?

From searching I have found that the AEM is 1/8 NPT (along with 2 other larger adapters) and that the Greddy may be in BSPT.

There are two ports in the Greddy Oil Sandwich that may be used, I'm guessing one is a 1/8 BSPT and the other is larger.

Can anyone confirm, or add to this information? I'm looking for an adapter.

Thanks!

The pressure in my pedal was fine when it was leaking. I go out to drive my car today and I lost all the pressure. It was working fine yesterday. I just need a quick fix to get the pressure back so I can drive to school. Still looking for a new caliper so yeah.

you're getting air in the system from the leaking caliper.
Bleed the system real good, but air will get in the system again once you start to use the brakes. Really, there's no temporary solution that I'm aware of.

Hmm.. It's been leaking for a longg time though. Its a really slow leak, the idiot light for the brakes only came on twice since I've had the car and its been about six months. The pedal was fine before this but I'll bleed tomorrow and see how that goes. Since its only the passenger rear would I have to bleed all four corners or just the problem side?

You can use S14 FLCA's in an s13 if you install S13 ball joints into the FLCA.

If it only pulled in air at the caliper, you may be able to just bleed that line. If it pulled in air from the reservoir from the fluid getting too low, you will have to bleed the whole system. Bleed the one corner and see how it feels.

Lucky me its the side you start out with first when you bleed the whole system. I'll do that today when I get home from school and update. Thanks.

gas-charged shocks usually use nitrogen, so it won't combust, but super heating the gas will likely make it rupture violently. pV=nRT
