Help 2oosx wont start.

So my GF 200sx wont start, it wont even turn over. Its a 98 ga16. The battery is fine. Everytime I try try to start it it wont even turn over. When her dad took a look at it he said its the EVAP purge canister volume control valve (its located above the left side of the intake runners w/ two hoses connected to it). When he tried starting it the volume control valve started to make a clicking noise, so he took it apart cleaned it and put it back on the car. It started then completely died. Now it wont turn over again. Does anyone know what the problem can be? Thanks in advance for the help.

if you here clicking it could be the starter solenoid.. its good you checked the battery so that rules that out and also if you test your starter at a local auto parts store they can tell you if its bad.
If the starter and battery arre both good check a ground wire connecting the starter to battery and other wires my car basically had the same problem
hope this helps
